GSK Stockmann in Luxembourg reinforces its investment funds practice with the hiring of Dr Marcel Bartnik as local partner as of January 2020.
Dr Marcel Bartnik has extensive experience in the Luxembourg investment fund industry. He has been working in Luxembourg for close to 15 years, advising institutional clients, private equity firms, investment houses and high-net-worth individuals across the corporate, real estate, private equity and finance sectors both in Luxembourg and internationally. His main areas of expertise include fund formation and structuring advice for alternative investment funds (AIF) as well as traditional retail (UCITS) funds, including AIFMs and management companies. In addition, he regularly assists clients in fund related transactions and general investment fund and regulatory law matters.
With both German and French law degrees, Dr Marcel Bartnik is ideally suited to the international nature of investment fund mandates in Luxembourg. Prior to joining GSK Stockmann, he worked for a renowned international law firm and many years at a top-tier Luxembourg independent law firm. He is admitted to the bars in Luxembourg and Germany. He will be joined by Senior Associate Corinna Schumacher.
