The report Doing Business 2017 has just been published by the World Bank Group. It is one of its four flagship publications that benchmarks business regulations in 190 economies worldwide – from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe – and over time. Governments worldwide read the report with interest every year, and improve the strength of legal rights

The Getting Credit Legal Rights indicator, which measures rights of secured creditors and borrowers in secured transactions, is one of the 11 indicator sets published by the Doing Business report. Moreover Jennifer Bierly (lawyer and partner at our GSK Stockmann office in Berlin) has participated in the Doing Business Report of the World Bank Group since its first publication in 2002. She contributes her expertise regarding the incorporation of enterprises in Germany.
